Next Stop: Akaska, SD
The finale of the 2011 AIM® tournament season will be held on the walleye “factory” of the Missouri River. The 2011 AIM International Walleye Championship will be held in Akaska, South Dakota on September 15, 16, and 17, 2011. Akaska has previously hosted AIM Pro Walleye Series™ tournaments in 2009 and 2010. Both of these tournaments featured huge walleyes, huge daily limits, and huge crowds of fans. It was for these reasons that this small town on the central Missouri River was selected to host the final event of the 2011 AIM season.

AIM International Walleye Championship: Expect Big Weights
South Dakota Pro Angler Corey Sauerwein will tell you straight away: fishing in Lake Oahe has been that good this year thanks to high water. Some anglers feel it may prove a hindrance to anglers, and others say it may be a boon because bait fish are staying in summertime haunts longer. That translates to keeping walleyes active and hungry, and that means one thing: probable big weights every day of the Championship.

It’s On to the Championship and C-R-R for Chad Schilling
AIM Pro Walleye Series competitor and hometown favorite for the 2011 AIM International Walleye Championship, Chad Schilling has one thing on his mind: walleyes in the still flood-swollen Missouri River at Lake Oahe.
Schilling hopes to be on the tournament podium and in the running to be the AIM 2011 Champion. He placed fifth in the AIM J.J. Keller Angler of The Year competition in 2010. At age 35 and in his 5th season on the pro circuits, Schilling lives, breathes, and eats outdoor fun.
